Frequently asked questions
SemagolWe have been resisting going digital over the years. Sometimes through laziness, sometimes for inability and nearly always because the amount of work involved is enormous and until now was way beyond our means.
Firstly we have, “The Collective” (photos, videos, posters, texts) about our history and with new contents which are being generated all the time.
Next we have, the catalogue of “The Distributor”, with documentaries made by the collective and by many other people: all of them can be purchased and some of them watched online. Lastly, we have “Community”, which is the idea of developing practical tools for the coming together and mutual support of a community of video-activists (support for production, exchange of ideas, lending of equipment, crowdfunding and diffusion)
No. The intention of this site is to compile those documentaries which focus on political issues.
The hackers co-operative Communia have developed all of the programming, and the rest (the design and contents) has been done by ourselves. This first phase of the site's construction has taken us around 10 months.
Our idea is to start on it as soon as the first is up and running. The characteristics of this second phase will be the development of the “Community” and the crowdfunding platform.
Yes you can. By doing various things: send us your documentaries so they can be shown on the site, by translating and subtitling the documentaries that are already up on the site, you can take part by commenting on our news items or audiovisual creations, or by making suggestions on which documentaries to include on the site, all this via the contact.
Collaborating with us in any of the thousands of tasks which seem to overwhelm us, by purchasing documentaries or by donating money.
By selecting the “my shopping basket” button which appears under each documentary, and then follow the process which will conclude with the purchase via Paypal or credit card.
Go to the donation form and follow the step by step instructions that appear there.
Yes. By sending us an E-mail to the following address: web@eguzkibideoak.info and we'll inform you about what you need to do.
No, but you can watch the shorts and videos of the collective as well as a number of the documentaries found in the distribution catalogue.
First you need to register in the above form and then send us an E-mail giving us the following information: the title of the documentary, a brief technical description which includes the names of whoever has made it, the year of production, the licence and synopsis. You can send us the Url of your documentary as well.
Not at the moment, but shortly it will be, as soon as we activate the second phase of the website's construction.
With money which the collective obtains through its activities (screenings, filming, realisations) and the sale of DVD's by the distributor. Also with the donations received via the website.
